In order to request services that go above and beyond standard warehouse activities (i.e., picking, packing, and shipping your orders), you will need to submit a work order. For example, you could request a work order if your products need to be barcoded or inspected. A work order would also be needed to request a large shipment (like sending one or more pallets to a retailer, for instance).
To create a work order, follow these steps:
Log into your ONE account and click on the Orders tab.
On the left menu bar, click “Work Order”
Click on any Work Order category (Requested, Awaiting Approval, etc.) from the left menu bar. The “Create New Work Order” button will appear.
Click the “Create New Work Order” button
Fill out the “Create Work Order” form with all the information relevant to your work order request.
Describe your request in detail
Upload a file, if desired
Select a warehouse where the request will be completed
Select the products (SKUs) and quantities that are to be used in filling the request. If the work order doesn’t involve specific SKUs, use the non-SKU created at onboarding.
Select whether you would like a price quote before work on the work order is begun.
If the work order requires us to ship items, use the slider to answer “Yes” to the question “Do you want to add shipment information?” and enter the information in the fields provided.
If the work order is to be billed to a third party or any account other than your Simple Global account, use the slider to answer “Yes” to the question “Do you want to add bill to information?” and enter the information in the fields provided.
Click the “Create Work Order” button to submit the work order. If you decide not to submit it, click “Cancel.”
Once your work order is submitted, our warehouse team will begin working on it as soon as possible. You will be billed at the hourly rate set forth in your service agreement. If you request a rate quote, our team will estimate the cost of the work order and let you know. We won’t begin working on the work order until you approve the estimate.
