ASN stands for “Advance Shipping Notice,” and is a notification of pending deliveries, usually sent electronically. It lists the contents of a shipment, and often provides additional information such as product descriptions and packaging types. An ASN can help the recipient more efficiently receive and process the shipment.

If your manufacturer is directly sending product to our warehouse, you can give them limited access to your Simple Global ONE account so they can submit an ASN for you. They will only be able to submit an ASN. They will not have access to your information or any other function of the ONE platform.

Here is how you can give your factory access to submit an ASN on your behalf:

  1. Log in to your ONE account and click the “Vendors” tab

  2. Click the “Create Factory Link” button

  1. Fill out the fields in the “Create New Factory” section

    1. Enter Factory Name & Email

    2. Enter the factory’s Address

    3. Click the “Generate URL & PIN” button. This will create a link to your ASN page and a unique PIN. You will be able to share this link and PIN with the factory, which will give them access to create ASNs

    4. Click the blue “Create” button to finalize the factory link.

The new factory will appear on the Vendors tab, along with the link and PIN. If you employ multiple manufacturers, you can add their factories as well. Each one you add will have their own unique factory link and PIN number.

Once you share the link and PIN with your manufacturer, they will be able to log in and create an ASN on your behalf. To help them correctly create the ASN, you can also send them a link to these instructions and tell them to start with step 3.
