A Kit is a group of two or more products that you decide to offer together as a set. For example, let’s say you sell winter garments. For a holiday special, you want to offer a package that contains your Warm Fuzzy Cap and your Toasty Wool Mittens. Normally, these products ship separately, and are stored in the warehouse under two different SKUs, WFC-0001 and TWM-0024. We call these Master SKUs.
In order to create a Kit, a new SKU called a Kit SKU must be created. In this example, let’s say we create Kit SKU CAP-MIT-1234 for your cap/mittens set. When an order comes in for CAP-MIT-1234, our warehouse employees will know to pick both the cap (WFC-0001) and the mittens (TWM-0024) and ship them together in the same package.
Viewing and Managing KITs in ONE
Just like master SKUs, Kit SKUs are managed from the “Products” tab. To access the “Manage KITs” screen, click “Manage KITs” from the menu bar on the left side of the screen.
As you can see in the screenshot, all your existing Kit SKUs will be displayed on this page. The most important information displayed here is:
The Kit SKU name/number
The Master SKUs that are included in the kit
The quantity of each Master SKU in the kit
To create a Kit SKU, contact customer service. We will be happy to set it up for you in ONE.
If you’d prefer to create a large number of Kit SKUs at the same time, you can do so by uploading a CSV file. This is almost identical to the process of uploading Master SKUs, as described in the “Uploading SKUs” article. To summarize:
Click the “Upload CSV File” button
Download the CSV Template (10_10_2018_ProductKITs_Template.csv)
Fill out the template. Use a separate line for each Master SKU you are including in the kit. Required information is Kit SKU, Master SKU, and Quantity
Save the file and upload it
